Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Soto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson tries to clinch there but Soto circles away.
Soto avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thompson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Soto avoids it really well and circles away.
Thompson darts in trying to clinch
and Soto counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Soto paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Thompson shoots in looking for a takedown. Soto tries to sprawl out of it but Thompson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Soto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Thompson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
As Thompson backs away, Soto returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Thompson moves in looking to clinch but Soto pushes him off.
Kim Soto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Thompson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Soto defends well and Thompson ends up having to push Soto into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kim Soto will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kim Soto.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Soto, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
