Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charley Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marios Kaperoinis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marios Kaperoinis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charley Reynolds! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marios Kaperoinis! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reynolds shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kaperoinis but Kaperoinis pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kaperoinis throws the kick towards the body but Reynolds avoids it. Kaperoinis tries to close the distance and clinch but Reynolds swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kaperoinis throws a head kick that misses. Reynolds could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. No joy there for Kaperoinis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reynolds attempts a counter takedown but Kaperoinis avoids it well and moves away. Marios Kaperoinis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kaperoinis takes the fight into the clinch. Kaperoinis tries for a takedown but Reynolds manages to get underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reynolds is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kaperoinis is defending well for now. Kaperoinis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Reynolds manages to break the clinch.
Kaperoinis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Reynolds.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaperoinis misses with a takedown and Reynolds counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kaperoinis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reynolds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Reynolds postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Reynolds is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kaperoinis working for submissions but it's allowed Reynolds to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaperoinis trying to control but Reynolds postures up.
Reynolds takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kaperoinis looking for submissions off his back. Reynolds gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Reynolds drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kaperoinis is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Reynolds dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaperoinis looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reynolds scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kaperoinis to see if he's OK. Kaperoinis being controlled for a moment. Reynolds thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Reynolds working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Reynolds. Reynolds decides to stand back up. Reynolds gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Reynolds is struggling to control the position. Kaperoinis fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Charley Reynolds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marios Kaperoinis. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Reynolds content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Charley Reynolds dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kaperoinis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kaperoinis circles away from the clinch attempt and Kaperoinis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kaperoinis is defended easily by Reynolds. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kaperoinis tries to clinch up and Reynolds counters with a single leg into guard. Kaperoinis didn't expect that. Kaperoinis looking to control but Reynolds passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kaperoinis to get to his feet. Reynolds bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Reynolds decides to stand back up. Reynolds steps back and let's Kaperoinis get back to his feet. Kaperoinis is breathing heavily. Kaperoinis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kaperoinis wants it to stay on the feet. Reynolds shoots in and drives through. Kaperoinis sprawls well. Reynolds darts in looking for a takedown but Kaperoinis gets double underhooks and turns Reynolds into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charley Reynolds. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reynolds checks a leg kick nicely. Reynolds appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaperoinis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kaperoinis fails with a takedown attempt. Reynolds appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Kaperoinis leaves Reynolds with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Reynolds is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kaperoinis can do to turn this around? Reynolds throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kaperoinis's waist but Kaperoinis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reynolds off to one side. Reynolds fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kaperoinis to the ground. Reynolds is now in Kaperoinis's guard. Reynolds is standing up over Kaperoinis. Kaperoinis looks to escape but Reynolds dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reynolds has hold of Kaperoinis's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kaperoinis seems comfortable defending it but Reynolds has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kaperoinis is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kaperoinis is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Reynolds couldn't care less - he's delighted!
