Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanaka comes to the cage accompanied by Samurai. Collins has chosen I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michael Collins will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryo Tanaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Collins is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Tanaka gets a double leg takedown into Collins's guard.
Tanaka drops back looking for a leg! Collins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Collins manages to kick Tanaka off! Tanaka jumps back into Collins's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Collins wants to get back to his feet but Tanaka is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tanaka stays in close to Collins's body and controls the position.

Tanaka definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tanaka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Collins manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tanaka has Collins in his guard.
Tanaka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Collins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tanaka is tightening it up a little... Collins has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Collins reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Collins taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tanaka!
