Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gallagher kicks Yu off and gets to his feet.
Gallagher closes the distance and clinches.
Gallagher tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Yu avoids it.
Gallagher manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Yu trying to control the position from guard on top but Gallagher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yu won't allow Gallagher to sweep him here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gallagher holds on and takes a little breather.

Gallagher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Yu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Gallagher fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yu to the ground. Gallagher is now in Yu's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gallagher can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yu controls the pace.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Yu gets a takedown into half guard.
Gallagher has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Yu is on him like a limpet, forcing Gallagher back against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Gallagher.
Yu wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Yu is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gallagher is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Yu to the mat. Yu regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Yu is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gallagher presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gallagher tries for a takedown. No joy.
Yu has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gallagher regains guard immediately.
Gallagher kicks Yu off and gets to his feet.

Gallagher closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Yu did well to prevent Gallagher getting side control.
Shane Gallagher overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Well, if Gallagher is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gallagher escapes and gets back to his feet.
Gallagher blocks a low kick nicely.
Gallagher went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Yu lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gallagher moves into range and clinches up with Yu.

Gallagher has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Yu is trying to keep an underhook but Gallagher manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Gallagher misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Yu.
Gallagher turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gallagher manages to end up in side control.
Gallagher decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Yu throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gallagher tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yu is in Gallagher's guard.
Gallagher has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Yu off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Gallagher shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Yu is trying to control but Gallagher passes into side control!

Yu is trying to control Gallagher's posture but Gallagher avoids it.
Gallagher decides to stand up, so the ref orders Yu to his feet.
Yu thows a leg kick but Gallagher checks it
and Gallagher counters with a one-two to the body.
Yu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gallagher sprawls well initially but Yu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Gallagher manages to get to full guard.

Gallagher wants to stand but Yu is controlling the position.

Gallagher darts in looking for a takedown but Yu gets double underhooks and turns Gallagher into the cage.

Gallagher seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yu for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gallagher decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Yu, up you get!
