Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alton Pittman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nigel Cochrane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alton Pittman has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alton Pittman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nigel Cochrane! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cochrane tries for a takedown but Pittman circles away easily enabling Pittman to counter with a crisp jab. Cochrane has his takedown stuffed and Pittman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pittman. Cochrane is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Cochrane tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cochrane is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Cochrane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cochrane throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pittman escapes and throws Cochrane's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Cochrane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cochrane is trying to buck Pittman off. Pittman really is a fat lump. Cochrane is trying to control Pittman's posture but Pittman avoids it. Pittman is looking to take a break and control but Cochrane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cochrane manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Cochrane looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cochrane is trying to maintain the position but Pittman is very close to passing his half guard. Cochrane looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cochrane is staying active underneath Pittman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Cochrane throws a right and a left that Pittman avoids nicely. It looked like Pittman was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cochrane.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pittman just misses with a punch to the body.
Pittman doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Cochrane fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Cochrane as Pittman shoots in. And Cochrane tries to counter it with a takedown but Pittman pushes his down on his head and steps out. Cochrane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pittman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Pittman shoots in for a double leg but Cochrane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cochrane clinches. Pittman goes for a takedown attempt but Cochrane pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alton Pittman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cochrane closes the distance and clinches. Pittman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cochrane is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cochrane is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pittman is defending well. Cochrane is pressed up against the cage. Pittman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cochrane down to the mat. Cochrane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A momentary lapse in concentration from Pittman enables Cochrane to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pittman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cochrane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pittman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cochrane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cochrane passes Pittman's left leg - he's now in half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pittman blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cochrane. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nigel Cochrane dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cochrane cracks a nice hook into Pittman's ribs. Cochrane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cochrane punishes Pittman's body with a nice straight punch. Cochrane shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pittman pinned against the cage. Pittman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pittman checks a low kick from Cochrane. Cochrane rushes Pittman and presses him up against the cage. Cochrane has had enough of the clinch but Pittman keeps him there for the moment. Cochrane pulls guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pittman wants to control from the top but Cochrane keeps moving. Cochrane throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Cochrane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cochrane is pulling down on Pittman's head. It's preventing any offense from Pittman, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cochrane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pittman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Cochrane has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cochrane pulls Pittman in close to prevent any damage.

Alton Pittman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel Cochrane. Pittman takes a body punch but keeps moving. The fight stays on the outside here - Cochrane looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pittman appears to be looking for a big counter. Nigel Cochrane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cochrane closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pittman circles away. Cochrane just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromPittman. Pittman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cochrane rushes Pittman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cochrane tries to pull guard but Pittman forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Pittman is trying to pull guard but Cochrane turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Pittman misses with a shot to the kidneys.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cochrane wants to control the position but Pittman says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Cochrane is controlling Pittman's position as best he can from this difficult position. Cochrane gets full guard. Pittman trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cochrane's guard. Cochrane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pittman is one step ahead there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cochrane has his foot on Pittman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pittman works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nigel Cochrane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Cochrane shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pittman eats them both and turns towards Cochrane to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Cochrane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pittman as he avoids it easily. Pittman seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Pittman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cochrane is fending him off so far but Pittman persists. Nope, Cochrane circles away and we're back to standing. Pittman fails with a takedown attempt. Pittman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Cochrane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pittman goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cochrane prevents it.

Pittman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Cochrane is pulling down on Pittman's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cochrane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pittman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cochrane is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pittman is aware though and is defending well. Cochrane is controlling Pittman's posture. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pittman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Pittman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cochrane as he avoids it easily. Cochrane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pittman is fending him off so far but Cochrane persists. Nope, Pittman circles away and we're back to standing. Nigel Cochrane seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nice sprawl there from Cochrane as Pittman shoots in. Cochrane instigates a clinch. Pittman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cochrane walks away with a smile on his face. Pittman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A solid leg kick lands there for Pittman.
Cochrane tries to clinch up but Pittman circles away and keeps his distance. Cochrane darts in looking for a takedown but Pittman gets double underhooks and turns Cochrane into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pittman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cochrane tries to avoid it but Pittman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cochrane to the ground. Cochrane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pittman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cochrane. Cochrane fails in his attempt to clinch. Pittman shoots for a double leg takedown but Cochrane sprawls well. He's pushed Pittman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nigel Cochrane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cochrane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Pittman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cochrane pulls guard successfully.
Cochrane has control of Pittman's left arm, preventing Pittman from doing any damage. Alton Pittman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nigel Cochrane is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Cochrane has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Pittman off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
And that's the end of the fight! Nigel Cochrane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cochrane has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
