The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Akenzua moves into the clinch.
Akenzua manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Vivaldi just misses with a elbow thrown towards Akenzua's brow.

Akenzua gets control of Vivaldi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Akenzua will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Vivaldi wants to stand but Akenzua is controlling his posture from full guard.

Akenzua throws his legs up looking for a submission but Vivaldi uses it to pass to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Akenzua tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vivaldi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vivaldi trying to control the position but Akenzua is working away.
Akenzua gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Vivaldi is controlling the pace.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Akenzua moves into full guard.

Vivaldi gets to his feet. Akenzua looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Vivaldi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Akenzua has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vivaldi after a bit of a struggle.
Akenzua looking to throw knees to the head but Vivaldi is blocking nicely.

Vivaldi manages to break the clinch.
Vivaldi lands a head kick. Akenzua smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Akenzua shoots in looking for a takedown but Vivaldi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Akenzua's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Vivaldi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Antoni Vivaldi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akenzua tries a head kick but it misses.

Vivaldi has Akenzua up against the cage in a clinch.

Vivaldi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Akenzua misses with an attempted mid kick.
Akenzua works Vivaldi's body with a nice hook.
Vivaldi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Akenzua eats them both and turns towards Vivaldi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Akenzua is breathing heavily.

Vivaldi lands a big head kick that sends Akenzua tumbling to the mat! Vivaldi takes a step backwards and waves Akenzua back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Akenzua is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Akenzua gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
