The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Moraes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Askren to score an easy takedown into full guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Moraes (0) vs (2) Askren Askren is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Askren tries to free his leg and advance position but Moraes is retaining full guard. Moraes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Askren is posturing up here but Moraes has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Askren tries to roll out but it's too tight and Askren has to tap! Slick submission there by Moraes!
