Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Connor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Canijo Enano!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Enano. No joy for Connor on that attempt.
Enano fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Enano looking to score a takedown here. Connor is defending well but Enano drives through and ends up in Connor's guard.
Connor wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Enano is now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Enano seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Connor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Enano might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Connor haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Enano should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Enano has Connor pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Connor manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Enano has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Connor uses from the top position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Enano fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Connor avoids it really well and circles away.
Enano's coach down at Club Pain (Sparring & Coaching) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Enano's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Connor throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Enano tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Connor is in Enano's guard.

Enano pushes Connor off and scrambles back to his feet.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Enano has eaten all the pies!

Enano looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Connor is fending him off so far but Enano persists. Nope, Connor circles away and we're back to standing.

Enano is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Enano wants to take a breather but Connor is having none of it.

Enano has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Connor is on him like a limpet, forcing Enano back against the cage.

Enano is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
The referee is keeping an eye on Connor - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Connor wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Connor fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Enano lands with a right to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Connor jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Enano walks away with a smile on his face. Connor gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Canijo Enano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Connor doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Enano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Connor's guard.
Connor is wriggling around but Enano manages to pass to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Enano is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Canijo Enano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Enano has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
