Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roldan Sangchaan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roldan Sangchaan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sergio Tanaka! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanaka closes the distance and clinches. Tanaka stalling.
Sangchaan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tanaka takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Roldan Sangchaan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tanaka takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sangchaan shoots in for a double leg but Tanaka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sangchaan feints and as Tanaka raises his hands in defense, Sangchaan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tanaka keeping moving, preventing Sangchaan from controlling successfully. Sangchaan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Tanaka has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sangchaan off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sangchaan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Sangchaan is looking to clinch. Sangchaan shoots in but no luck this time. Tanaka displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sangchaan. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roldan Sangchaan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tanaka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sangchaan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tanaka after a bit of a struggle. Tanaka works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Tanaka scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sangchaan keeping moving, preventing Tanaka from controlling successfully. Tanaka wants to pass the guard but Sangchaan is keeping the position. Tanaka trying to control the position from guard on top but Sangchaan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sangchaan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tanaka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tanaka is fighting to break Sangchaan's control of his arms but Sangchaan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Tanaka passes Sangchaan's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sangchaan manages to get to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sangchaan keeping moving, preventing Tanaka from controlling successfully. Sangchaan looking for a sweep. Not yet Sangchaan, not yet. Tanaka controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Tanaka trying to control but Sangchaan is working from the bottom. Tanaka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tanaka postures up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sangchaan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tanaka doesn't seem bothered though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sangchaan clinches. Tanaka is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Sangchaan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Tanaka misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sangchaan.
Tanaka scores with a shoulder strike. Tanaka looking for a takedown. Tanaka ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tanaka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Tanaka wants to stand and escape but Sangchaan is having none of it. Tanaka trying to control the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Tanaka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sangchaan is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sergio Tanaka will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

As Sangchaan backs off Tanaka throws a huge counter combo but Sangchaan manages to avoid it all. Tanaka looks for a takedown but Sangchaan sprawls well. Sangchaan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Tanaka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tanaka checks a leg kick. Sangchaan works over Tanaka's head and body with a nice combination. Sangchaan looking to score a takedown here. Tanaka is defending well but Sangchaan drives through and ends up in Tanaka's guard. Sangchaan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tanaka has a closed guard, preventing Sangchaan from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanaka throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sangchaan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sangchaan cracks Tanaka with a solid left hand. Sangchaan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tanaka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sangchaan has managed to get both his arms back between Tanaka's legs - danger averted. Tanaka lands some strikes from the bottom. Sangchaan trying to control the position from guard on top but Tanaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tanaka pushes Sangchaan off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sangchaan looking to score a takedown here. Tanaka is defending well but Sangchaan drives through and ends up in Tanaka's guard. Tanaka keeping moving, preventing Sangchaan from controlling successfully. Tanaka wants to stand up but Sangchaan is controlling him. Sangchaan wants to get up but he can't break Tanaka's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Tanaka wants to sweep here but Sangchaan controlling him for the moment. Sangchaan wants to control from the top but Tanaka keeps moving. Tanaka is looking to stand up but Sangchaan isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sangchaan trying to control but Tanaka is working from the bottom. Tanaka has his feet on Sangchaan's thighs here. He's pushed Sangchaan off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Sangchaan screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
