Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lukens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Duck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duck comes into a darkened arena with his song building. My Opponent is a Infidel kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnny Lukens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Howard Duck!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lukens shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lukens is pressing down on Duck's thigh, looking to free his foot. Duck is holding on for now.
Duck is not content to let Lukens control the position.
Duck trying to control but Lukens postures up.
Lukens is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Duck has managed to free his arm - good work.
Lukens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Duck keeps working.
Lukens is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Duck doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lukens.

Lukens is just content to waste time from the top position. Duck takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Duck gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lukens counters with a nice double leg into side control. Duck won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lukens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Duck keeps working.
Duck is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lukens asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Duck gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Lukens is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Duck sees it coming and defends easily.

Lukens drops back, looking for a kneebar! Duck looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Duck looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Duck!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Duck tries to advance to mount but Lukens denies him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lukens drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Duck dives on top into guard.

and Lukens counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Duck had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lukens is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Duck Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lukens's back instead.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Lukens will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Duck is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lukens has his hands clasped together but Duck extends an breaks Lukens's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Duck.
