Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Coach Comstock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manres has chosen Aqualung - Jethro Tull as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
40 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Coach Comstock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ludwig Manres! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Comstock throws the kick towards the body but Manres avoids it. Manres looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Comstock! Comstock is trying to control Manres's posture but Manres avoids it. The strikes coming from Manres are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Manres is looking to take a break and control but Comstock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Comstock tries to bench press Manres off him but Manres keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Comstock regains half guard, as Manres was trying to land strikes. Comstock is trying is best to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manres stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Manres is thwarting Comstock's attempts to control the position. Comstock is trying to get back to full guard. Comstock is working hard here to advance position. Manres is just content to waste time from the top position. Comstock takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Comstock managing to control the position. Comstock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Manres is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Comstock preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. My spies in DiscoClub inform me that Manres has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Comstock is controlling Manres's posture. Manres postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Comstock is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Manres, into his guard. Comstock lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. Manres controlling Comstock's posture. Comstock trying to control but Manres is working from the bottom. Comstock lands a couple of decent looking shots. Comstock trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Manres avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Comstock won't allow Manres to sweep him here. Manres escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Comstock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Manres preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Manres managing to control the position. Comstock looking to sit in guard and control but Manres gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Manres won't allow Comstock to sweep him here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Manres throwing strikes but missing. Comstock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Manres's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Coach Comstock will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Manres bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Manres has a takedown stuffed. Manres shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Comstock but Comstock pushes him off and we're back to square one. Manres checks a low kick from Comstock. A slow jab from Comstock misses its intended target. Jab by Comstock. Jab, jab by Comstock - just one landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manres shoots in and drives through. Comstock sprawls well. Coach Comstock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ludwig Manres. Comstock lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Comstock scores with a jab. Comstock tries to land a body kick and Manres counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Comstock! Ludwig Manres has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manres tries to advance to mount but Comstock denies him. Manres misses with the ground and pound. Manres trying to control the position but Comstock is working away. Comstock gets back to half guard. Comstock wants to improve his position but Manres is controlling well.
Manres tries to pass to full mount but Comstock defends it. Manres with the ground and pound but Comstock uses the opportunity to regain guard. Comstock is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Comstock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Manres throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Manres trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Comstock has control of Manres's left arm, preventing Manres from doing any damage. Manres tries to free his leg and advance position but Comstock is retaining full guard. Comstock not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Manres loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Comstock controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Comstock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manres was well out of range. Poor timing from Comstock. Comstock tries to land a leg kick but Manres saw it coming and moves away.
Manres uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Comstock.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Comstock throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Manres counters with a one-two to the body. Manres has a takedown stuffed. Comstock seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Comstock lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Comstock. Comstock looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Comstock misses with a low kick as Manres jumps back. Coach Comstock is winning the standup battle so far. Manres shoots and misses and Comstock counters with a two punch combo. Coach Comstock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Manres throws a sloppy head kick and Comstock moves out of range easily. Comstock throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. The fighters circle momentarily. Comstock darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Comstock moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Manres ducks under a wild hook from Comstock. Manres is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Comstock misses with a leg kick and Manres counters with a two punch combo. Manres doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Comstock counter with a right hand. Manres shoots in for a double leg but Comstock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Coach Comstock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Comstock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Comstock wants it to stay on the feet. Manres tries to clinch and Comstock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Comstock misses with an attempted mid kick.

so Manres counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Manres wants to control from the top but Comstock keeps moving. Manres pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Comstock is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Coach Comstock dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Manres tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Comstock throws a jab but it's blocked by Manres. Comstock throws a nice inside leg kick. A left lands for Comstock. Manres shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Manres is rocked! Comstock throws a nice inside leg kick. Manres is still on wobbly legs! Can Comstock finish him? Manres on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Comstock cracks the inside of Manres's front leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Comstock with a body punch. A glancing blow. Manres takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Manres takes a shot right to the bread basket. Comstock works Manres's body with a nice hook. Manres switches off momentarily and Comstock cracks him with a monster right hand! Manres topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Comstock dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Comstock!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Coach Comstock! A relieved looking Coach Comstock thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
