Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Ryans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santos Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryans comes into the arena with Bulletproof - Five Finger Death Punch blaring out of the sound system. Ryan has chosen Wassup - by ASAP Rocky as his entrance music. Santos Ryan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Ryans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santos Ryan! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Ryan. Ryans moves out of range as Ryan strikes. Ryans feinted with a counter takedown. Ryan gets a double leg takedown into Ryans's guard. Ryans is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ryans wants to sweep but no luck. Ryan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryans has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ryan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ryans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ryan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ryan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan stopping the sweep attempt from Ryans. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryan throwing strikes but missing. Ryan throwing strikes from guard but Ryans blocks nicely. Ryan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Ryan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ryan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ryan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ryan postures up in Ryans's guard and throws a big left but Ryans blocks it. Ryan landing some decent shots from guard. Ryans is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ryan throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryans looking for a sweep. Not yet Ryans, not yet. Ryan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Ryan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ryans wants to sweep here but Ryan controlling him for the moment. Ryans is trying to control the position but Ryan postures up. Ryans wants to hit a switch here but Ryan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ryans there! Ryans is desperately trying to improve his position but Ryan has a good base and remains in mount. Ryan scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ryan lands a heavy elbow.
Ryans is rocked! Ryans working to try and regain half guard.
Oh Ryans is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Ryan working for a guillotine from mount but Ryans is in no mood to give up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ryan is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Ryans goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Ryan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Santos Ryan! During a confident post fight interview, Santos Ryan thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
