Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Michael Blake and Borin Chim. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Michael Blake! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Borin Chim! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Blake clinches. Chim is working for takedown but Blake is calmly controlling the position for now. Chim gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Blake (0) vs (2) Chim Chim trying to control the position from guard on top but Blake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chim slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Blake not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chim stays in close to Blake's body and controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chim's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blake looking for a guillotine here but Chim defends easily.
Chim looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Blake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Blake (2) vs (2) Chim Blake is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Blake seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Blake is trying to work for a kimura but Chim is defending well.
Chim tries to roll over but Blake keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blake tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chim knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Blake sitting and controlling from the half guard. Chim is looking to improve his position.
Blake takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chim tries to roll over but Blake keeps him under control. Blake is just content to waste time from the top position. Chim takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Blake slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Chim seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Blake tries to free his leg and advance position but Chim is retaining full guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Chim looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Blake postures up.
Blake pushes down on Chim's leg and manages to get into half guard. Chim trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Blake manages to pass to mount!
Score +3 for passing guard: Blake (5) vs (2) Chim Chim is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Blake controlling his opponent.

Blake avoids the attempt from Chim to control. Blake prevents Chim from getting the reversal. Blake working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Chim looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Blake! Submission of the night perhaps?
