Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Hawking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renata Sobrawl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renata Sobrawl is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobrawl looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sobrawl is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sobrawl is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hawking defends it well.
Hawking is trying to stand back up but Sobrawl is controlling him

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hawking is staying active underneath Sobrawl, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Horrible takedown by Sobrawl or perhaps it was just good defense by Hawking which made him look bad.

Sobrawl jumps guard but Hawking stands there with Sobrawl around his waist. Sobrawl gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hawking throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Sobrawl has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hawking finds it's way round the side to connect with Sobrawl's head.
Sobrawl shoots for a double leg takedown but Hawking sprawls well. He's pushed Sobrawl's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sobrawl shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sobrawl was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hawking is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Sobrawl wants to take Hawking's back here but Hawking is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Sobrawl is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hawking has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hawking!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
