Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rocky LtuPl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Mcgrath! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LtuPl looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mcgrath is fending him off so far but LtuPl persists. Nope, Mcgrath circles away and we're back to standing. Mcgrath looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! LtuPl rushes Mcgrath and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mcgrath taking a breather. Mcgrath wants to break free but LtuPl has control.
LtuPl escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A chopping leg kick lands by LtuPl. LtuPl pulls out of a head kick attempt.
LtuPl rushes Mcgrath and presses him up against the cage. LtuPl wants the takedown. Mcgrath is fighting it off but LtuPl persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mcgrath's guard against the cage. Mcgrath pushes LtuPl off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. LtuPl rushes Mcgrath and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. LtuPl tries for a takedown but Mcgrath manages to get underhooks.
LtuPl's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mcgrath fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. LtuPl fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mcgrath to the ground. LtuPl is now in Mcgrath's guard. LtuPl stands and steps away. Mcgrath gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Rocky LtuPl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. LtuPl shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than LtuPl was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mcgrath is trying to escape the position but LtuPl is controlling the position. LtuPl has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mcgrath is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. LtuPl yanks on the arm and Mcgrath is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by LtuPl.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rocky LtuPl! Rocky LtuPl decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. In defeat, James Mcgrath stepped up to the mic, saying 'fuck you bitch'.
