Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gap Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Where Is My Mind. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gap Turner!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Durden!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden walks into a jab.
Durden missing with a left hand there. Turner was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Turner wants to land a leg kick but Durden is out of range.
Turner blocks a jab.

Durden misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Turner.
Turner doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Durden connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Turner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Turner has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Durden fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Durden ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Turner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Durden's half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Turner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Durden gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Durden is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Turner is just riding it out for now. Durden eventually gives up the hold.

Turner buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Turner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Durden napping and manages to drive through into side control!

You can see the frustration on Durden's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Turner connects with a nice short shot to Durden's temple.
Durden felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gap Turner.
I think Turner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
