Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leo Oscar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zaki Zaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leo Oscar has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leo Oscar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Zaki Zaki!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oscar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Oscar wants it to stay on the feet.
A punch combination from Oscar misses.
Oscar looks to land a combination but Zaki avoids it well.
Oscar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zaki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Zaki gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Oscar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Leo Oscar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zaki Zaki.

Oscar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Zaki manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Zaki pushes Oscar off and scrambles back to his feet.
Oscar is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zaki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Zaki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Zaki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oscar swivels and escapes.
Zaki goes for a double leg but Oscar avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Oscar continues to drive forward.
Zaki avoids the head kick by Oscar.
Zaki drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Oscar defends it well.
Zaki tries for a takedown but Oscar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Oscar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zaki on his heels. He'll look to pass Zaki's guard now, I'm sure.

Zaki scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Oscar shoots in and gets a takedown into Zaki's guard.

Zaki pushes Oscar off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oscar shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Zaki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oscar throws a sloppy head kick and Zaki moves out of range easily.
Zaki shoots in but no luck this time.
Oscar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Oscar swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Zaki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Zaki throws a body shot but no joy.

and Oscar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Oscar drives through with a takedown into Zaki's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Zaki has his feet on Oscar's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Zaki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Oscar sprawls well. Oscar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zaki gets slowly back to his feet.

Oscar drives through and clinches with Zaki against the cage.

Oscar manages to break the clinch.
An inside leg kick from Oscar misses.
Zaki shoots in for a takedown but Oscar shows good takedown defense.

Oscar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Zaki scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No luck for Zaki with that takedown attempt.

Oscar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zaki sprawls well initially but Oscar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Zaki kicks Oscar off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Leo Oscar will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Zaki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Oscar jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Oscar tries to clinch up but Zaki circles away and keeps his distance.
Zaki is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Zaki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Oscar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Zaki pushes Oscar off and gets back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zaki.
Oscar appears to be looking for a big counter.

Oscar dives in and scores a takedown into Zaki's guard.

Zaki manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Zaki has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Oscar uses from the top position.
Zaki seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Zaki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oscar's guard.

Zaki wants to control from the top but Oscar keeps moving.
Oscar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zaki on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zaki passes into half guard.
Oscar is trying to maintain the position but Zaki is very close to passing his half guard.
Zaki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Oscar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zaki seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Oscar is staying active underneath Zaki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Zaki passes to full mount!
Oscar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Oscar tries to get out of the position.
Zaki wants to control the pace but Oscar is squirming around nicely.

Leo Oscar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zaki Zaki.
Oscar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Oscar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zaki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Zaki throws a series of punches but Oscar moves out of range.
Oscar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Oscar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zaki.

Oscar seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Oscar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Oscar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Zaki ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Zaki no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Oscar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Zaki is looking to cinch up a triangle. Oscar throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Zaki's body to avoid the submission. Zaki has instead reached around Oscar's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Zaki arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Zaki Zaki!
