Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Craig Clifton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pejro Karesky! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karesky tries to sprawl but Clifton drives through with a takedown into half guard. Karesky taking some punishment here, with Clifton in his half guard. Clifton is thwarting Karesky's attempts to control the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Clifton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Karesky defends it well. Clifton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Karesky is just riding it out for now. Clifton eventually gives up the hold. Karesky tries to get to full guard but Clifton has control of the leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Clifton tries to pass the half guard into mount. Karesky knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Karesky wants to control but Clifton is keeping busy and won't allow it. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Clifton engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Clifton forces his way into half guard. Clifton is looking to take a break and control but Karesky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Karesky is controlling Clifton's position as best he can from this difficult position. Karesky makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Karesky. Karesky not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Clifton works over Karesky with some ground and pound from guard. Clifton looking to pass the guard. Karesky told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Clifton passes Karesky's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clifton passes the guard and advances to mount! Clifton looking to finish Karesky with some ground and pound. This is bad for Karesky! Clifton controlling the pace for now. Karesky tries to lock up and control but Clifton gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Clifton lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Karesky hang on? Clifton lands with some strikes. Clifton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Clifton cracks Karesky with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Karesky is rocked! Karesky is trying desperately to improve position. Karesky is still in real trouble! Can Clifton finish him? Clifton postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Karesky out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Clifton goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
