Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Book (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanuki Shinra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanuki Shinra told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinra feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Book's calf.
Book gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Shinra, right into the meat.
Shinra misses with a double jab.
Shinra throws a leg kick

and Book counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Shinra!
Book lands a few punches from side control.
Book working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Book cracks Shinra with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee asks Book politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Book prefers to stall for the moment though.
Book has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Shinra!

Book unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Shinra wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Book celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Tommy Book decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
