Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omer Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milan Rusija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milan Rusija has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Omer Bass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Milan Rusija! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rusija darts in and clinches Bass up against the cage. Rusija escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bass moves out of range as Rusija strikes. Bass on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like Omer Bass has been cut. Bass shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rusija but Rusija pushes him off and we're back to square one. The fight moves into the clinch position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bass wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rusija has him pressed against the cage. Bass is working for takedown but Rusija is calmly controlling the position for now. Rusija pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rusija misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bass seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Decent striking displayed by Rusija there. Bass throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rusija counters with a one-two to the body.
Bass is rocked! Rusija clinches up with Bass and pushes him back against the cage. Oh Bass is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bass seems to have got his legs back now. Rusija gets a takedown into half guard. Bass kicks Rusija off and gets back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bass misses with a takedown attempt and Rusija counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Omer Bass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rusija gets a double leg takedown into Bass's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass looking for a sweep. Not yet Bass, not yet. Rusija is in close to Bass's body, working some short punches and elbows. Rusija drops back looking for a leg! Bass is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bass manages to kick Rusija off! Rusija jumps back into Bass's guard. Rusija looks winded! Bass doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Bass looking for a sweep. Not yet Bass, not yet. Rusija working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Rusija got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bass has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rusija has managed to get both his arms back between Bass's legs - danger averted. Rusija trying to control the position from guard on top but Bass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rusija stopping the sweep attempt from Bass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bass trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Bass can't keep his opponent in guard - Rusija advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Rusija with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Rusija throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rusija looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Bass slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Bass has his foot on Rusija's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rusija works his way back into a safe position though. Rusija pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bass is keeping the position for now. Bass working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rusija doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rusija manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rusija stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bass swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bass looking for a sweep. Not yet Bass, not yet. Rusija working some strikes from top position. Bass trying to control the position.
Rusija scoring with some ground and pound. Bass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rusija lands a couple of digs. Rusija got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bass has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rusija has managed to get both his arms back between Bass's legs - danger averted. Bass has his foot on Rusija's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rusija works his way back into a safe position though. Bass looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rusija is one step ahead there. Bass is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Milan Rusija dominated that round. The cut man is working on Omer Bass's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bass tries to clinch up but Rusija circles away and keeps his distance. Bass misses with a takedown attempt and Rusija counters with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rusija blocks a head kick by Bass.
Bass darts in looking for a takedown but Rusija gets double underhooks and turns Bass into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Rusija, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bass stuffs the takedown attempt from Rusija. Rusija gets slowly back to his feet. Rusija is breathing heavily. Bass closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Rusija fails miserably with a takedown attempt. It looked like Bass was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Despite the aggression on Rusija's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Rusija has managed to clinch.
Bass is trying to pull guard but Rusija has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Omer Bass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bass has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rusija after a bit of a struggle. Bass fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rusija pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rusija scores with a nice strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rusija waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bass. Bass appears to be looking for a big counter. Bass dodges the punch combination from Rusija.
Bass half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Bass has his takedown stuffed and Rusija counters with a nice uppercut. Rusija has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Bass tries to clinch up but Rusija circles away and keeps his distance. Rusija throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bass sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bass gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rusija counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rusija throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bass tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rusija is in Bass's guard. Bass wriggles free and stands up. This has been an exciting period of action! Rusija shoots in but no luck this time. Bass is looking for a counter combo. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bass throws a lazy head kick enabling Rusija to counter with a crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Milan Rusija showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Omer Bass's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Bass slaps away a takedown attempt from Rusija, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rusija gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rusija drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bass pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rusija is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bass sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Omer Bass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milan Rusija. Bass clinches up against the cage. Bass can't get the takedown.
Rusija takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bass moves into range and clinches up with Rusija. Bass jumps guard.
Bass is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rusija is aware though and is defending well. Omer Bass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rusija has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bass is proving hard to escape from. Rusija postures up and lands a big shot to Bass's brow. Bass scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Bass throws a head kick that misses. Bass misses with a takedown attempt and Rusija counters with a left and a right that stings Bass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rusija sprawls well initially but Bass persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rusija tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bass manages to move to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rusija tries to hold on but Bass postures up. Rusija is bucking up trying to escape but Bass cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Poor strikes thrown by Bass there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rusija is looking to get to half guard. Rusija takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bass lands a couple of good shots and Rusija has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Bass lands a shot to the head. Rusija trying to control the hands but Bass won't let him. Bass missing with punches from the back. Rusija covers up after that shot from Bass.
You can see the frustration on Rusija's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rusija wants to get back to his feet. Rusija covering up well under a barage of strikes. Milan Rusija is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Rusija trying to control the hands but Bass won't let him. Bass controlling well, preventing Rusija from escaping the position.
Bass lands a shot to the head. Omer Bass has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Oooh a big shot gets through from Bass. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
And that's the end of the fight! Omer Bass showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rusija has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
