The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royos misses the shot to the body.
Schultz seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Schultz moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Scott Schultz has been cut.
Royos lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Royos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Schultz misses with a takedown
and Royos counters with a nice right hand that sends Schultz toppling to the canvas! Schultz scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Royos finish him?!
Royos moves into the clinch successfully.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Royos drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Schultz is trying to push Royos away but Royos has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Royos lands a big knee! That's hurt Schultz! Oh, he's all over the place! Royos lands another knee that sends Schultz to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Los Royos!
