Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Musta Laine and Virgil Dreesen. Laine comes to the cage accompanied by Somnium - After All. Musta Laine is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Musta Laine! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Virgil Dreesen! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Laine fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dreesen drives through and clinches with Laine against the cage.
Laine tries to score a body lock takedown but Dreesen shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Dreesen is pressed up against the cage. Laine has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dreesen down to the mat. Dreesen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Musta Laine. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dreesen forces Laine back against the cage and clinches. Laine is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Laine drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dreesen is trying to pull guard but Laine turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dreesen pulls guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dreesen has his foot on Laine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Laine works his way back into a safe position though. Laine stopping the sweep attempt from Dreesen.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dreesen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Laine is one step ahead there. Laine passes Dreesen's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dreesen has his hands clasped together around Laine's back. He's all about the action. Dreesen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Laine is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Our spies down at at Fight Factory inform us that Dreesen has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Laine wants to control from the top but Dreesen keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Laine pushes down on Dreesen's leg and manages to get into half guard. Dreesen is refusing to be controlled, as Laine sits in half guard. Laine controlling the action here. Laine is keen to just control but Dreesen is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dreesen tries to roll over but Laine keeps him under control. Laine trying to mount his opponent but Dreesen defends it. Dreesen looking for submissions off his back. Laine seems to be looking for submissions.
Dreesen moves into full guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Dreesen being controlled here, momentarily. Laine trying to control but Dreesen is working from the bottom. Dreesen wants to sweep here but Laine controlling him for the moment. Laine got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dreesen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Laine has managed to get both his arms back between Dreesen's legs - danger averted. Dreesen has his foot on Laine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Laine works his way back into a safe position though.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Laine passes Dreesen's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Dreesen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dreesen is looking for a triangle but Laine pushes his legs off easily.
Laine wants to control from the top but Dreesen keeps moving. Laine slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Dreesen looking for a sweep. Not yet Dreesen, not yet.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Dreesen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Laine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Laine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Laine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dreesen is keeping the position for now. Dreesen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Laine trying to control but Dreesen is working from the bottom.

Dreesen keeping moving, preventing Laine from controlling successfully. Laine is pushing down on Dreesen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dreesen is fighting to maintain full guard but Laine has managed to sneak the leg through. Laine is pressing down on Dreesen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dreesen is holding on for now. Dreesen wants to improve his position but Laine is controlling well.

Laine prevents Dreesen from improving his position. Dreesen trying to hold on to Laine's head to control him but Laine postures up.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Laine is keen to just control but Dreesen is a slippery customer. Laine is working for a kimura here but Dreesen manages to reverse the position and he's now in Laine's guard.

And that's the end of the fight! As we have tied on points, we go to a tie breaker and Dreesen gets a bonus point for attempting more subs. Dreesen wins on points by 3 to 2.
