Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mr Steel Penn and Niten Dōraku. Dōraku is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ides Of Light - Jucifer. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Niten Dōraku! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Steel Penn fails with a takedown attempt. Dōraku tries to counter by closing the distance. Steel Penn fails in his attempt to clinch. Steel Penn looks to clinch
and Dōraku counters with a shoot takedown. Steel Penn fights it but they end up in guard. Steel Penn controls Dōraku momentarily but Dōraku frees himself. Dōraku sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dōraku engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Dōraku trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel Penn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel Penn pulls Dōraku in close to prevent any damage. Steel Penn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dōraku is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Steel Penn has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dōraku is looking to defend but Steel Penn has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dōraku! Steel Penn pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dōraku taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mr Steel Penn! After the fight, Mr Steel Penn was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. In defeat, Niten Dōraku stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thank you for the fight, Jacob. Congrats on the win. Hopefully a rematch once I improve! '. |
