Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between CJ Jinks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Magas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jinks comes to the cage accompanied by suicide machines. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Magas lands with a straight right. Jinks didn't see that one coming. Magas thuds a left hand into Jinks 's body. Jinks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Magas as he avoids it easily. Jinks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Magas paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jinks shoots in but no luck this time. Jinks is looking to clinch but Magas is avoiding it.
Jinks closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Magas forces Jinks back against the cage and clinches. Magas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jinks avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Magas prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CJ Jinks . That's going to take a lot out of him. Magas prevents the takedown attempt.
Magas has Jinks pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Magas pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jinks tumbling to the mat - Magas dives into Jinks 's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Magas content to stall in guard here. Let's hope that Magas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Magas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jinks 's guard. Magas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Despite being in the dominant position, Mike Magas just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jinks shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jinks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Magas lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jinks backs up against the cage.
Magas has closed the distance and engaged Jinks in a clinch.
Magas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

I looks like Magas might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jinks walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jinks . Magas stuffs the takedown. Magas scores with a jab. Jinks tries to clinch there but Magas circles away.
Magas lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jinks at a distance.
Magas feints and as Jinks raises his hands in defense, Magas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Magas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jinks keeping full guard, as Magas tries to pass. Jinks can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Magas controls the pace. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jinks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Magas is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Magas controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jinks had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Magas is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jinks Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Magas's back instead. Jinks doesn't have the hooks in and Magas manages to turn into his guard.
Magas controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Magas breaks from the clinch.

Magas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Magas instigates a clinch. Magas presses Jinks against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Nice body punch from Magas. Jinks fails to pull guard.

Magas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jinks . That did some damage! A left and a right from Magas both land. Nice combination. Magas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Magas scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Jinks wants to get back to full guard. Magas controlling the action here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Magas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Magas's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Jinks is desperately trying to improve his position but Magas has a good base and remains in mount. Jinks slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Magas stalling. Jinks wants to improve his position but Magas is controlling well.
Magas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Jinks had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Magas takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Magas lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jinks at a distance.
Jinks takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Danga de danga de dang - Magas scores with a four punch combination! Magas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jinks sprawls well initially but Magas persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Magas controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jinks tries to get to full guard but Magas has control of the leg. Magas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jinks is trying to get back to full guard. Magas content to control rather than advance. Jinks misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Magas is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Magas prevents Jinks from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Magas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Jinks gets slowly back to his feet. Magas ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Mike Magas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jinks doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Magas to counter with a crisp jab. CJ Jinks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Magas pushes Jinks up against the cage in a clinch. Magas landing knees to the body.
Magas gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jinks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Magas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Magas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Magas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
