Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Dominguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Whoopin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominguez comes into the arena with Hit em Up blaring out of the sound system. Miguel Dominguez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jake Whoopin's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Dominguez. No joy for Whoopin on that attempt.
Whoopin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Whoopin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Whoopin avoids the strikes from the bottom by Dominguez.
Dominguez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Whoopin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dominguez misses with a strike from the bottom.

Whoopin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Whoopin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Whoopin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Whoopin moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Dominguez has worked his arm free - good work by Dominguez!
Dominguez can't do much from the bottom here.

Whoopin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dominguez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dominguez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Whoopin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Whoopin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Whoopin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dominguez, who protects the arm well.
Dominguez is looking to regain half guard here but Whoopin keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Whoopin throws a nice looking combination but Dominguez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Whoopin tries to bum rush Dominguez with a series of wild strikes but Dominguez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Whoopin is still on wobbly legs! Can Dominguez finish him?
Dominguez fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Whoopin to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Whoopin looks to clinch but Dominguez throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Whoopin taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
