Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyron Hendricks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christoffer Widda!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Widda manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hendricks on his heels. He'll look to pass Hendricks's guard now, I'm sure.
Widda must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hendricks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Widda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hendricks working for a triangle but Widda defends it easily.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Widda working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Hendricks controls Widda momentarily but Widda frees himself.
Widda trying to control but Hendricks is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hendricks is looking for a triangle but Widda pushes his legs off easily.

Hendricks is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Widda frees his head nicely. Oh but Hendricks has switched to an armbar! Widda is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
