Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Oscar Leopoldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leopoldo has chosen Requiem for a Dream - Lux Aeterna as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that John Long has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Long seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Long!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Oscar Leopoldo!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leopoldo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Long avoids it really well and circles away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Long darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Long looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Leopoldo tries for a takedown but Long circles away easily
and Long counters with a left and a right that stings Leopoldo.
Long pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Long throws a head kick but Leopoldo moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leopoldo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Leopoldo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Leopoldo.
John Long has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Oscar Leopoldo.
Leopoldo gets a takedown into half guard.
Long has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Leopoldo is on him like a limpet, forcing Long back against the cage.

Leopoldo wants to take the fight to the mat but Long manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Leopoldo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Long smiles and moves away.

Horrible takedown attempt by Leopoldo or perhaps it was just good defense by Long, which made it look bad.
Leopoldo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Long defends well and Leopoldo ends up having to push Long into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Long throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Pedro Oscar Leopoldo has been cut.
Long has taken the fight to the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Long takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Long stalls.
Leopoldo jumps guard but Long turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
With the fighters up against the cage, Long throws an elbow but misses.
Long manages to break the clinch.
Long throws a nice looking combination but Leopoldo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Long lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Long slaps away a takedown attempt from Leopoldo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
John Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leopoldo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A punch combination from Long misses.
Leopoldo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Long throws a nice looking combination but Leopoldo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Leopoldo goes for a double leg but Long avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Long continues to drive forward.
Leopoldo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Leopoldo stops Long from getting back to his feet.
Long pushes Leopoldo off and gets back to his feet.
Long lands with a cross.
Long misses with the body kick
and Leopoldo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Long has one foot on Leopoldo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

John Long is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Long closes the distance and clinches.
Long lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Leopoldo backwards.
Long pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Long tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oooooh!!! Long has knocked Leopoldo down with a huge combo! Long steps away and waves a wobbly Leopoldo back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Leopoldo is rocked!
Long is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Leopoldo hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
