Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between rocco hard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for hard on that attempt.
hard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with hard but hard pushes him off and we're back to square one.
hard throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.

and Silva counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for rocco hard . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice body kick there by Silva.
hard is breathing heavily.
hard tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silva lands with a right to the head.
Silva connects with a nasty looking knee right to hard 's face.
hard is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silva gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Silva breaks the clinch.
hard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd cheers as Silva lands an impressive looking overhand right. hard doesn't seem phased though.
Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two.
hard is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva lands a huge takedown. hard is out but the ref is slow to react and Silva lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. hard lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Silva!
