Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateus Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mateus Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Jim Hogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mateus Silva! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
Silva content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Hogan tries to score a body lock takedown but Silva shows good agility there to stay on his feet. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Silva trying to land knees to the body.
Silva is struggling to control the position. Silva is trying to break free. Silva is looking to control Hogan's arms but Hogan gets an underhook and turns him. Now Silva has his back to the cage. Silva manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hogan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Silva is pulling down on Hogan's head to control his posture. Hogan won't allow Silva to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is looking to stand up but Hogan isn't so interested in that idea. Hogan postures up.
Silva looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hogan has picked Silva up and slammed him! Silva can't keep hold of the triangle and Hogan manages to pass to side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hogan wants to stand but Silva has his arm trapped. Hogan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet. Hogan tries to sprawl but Silva drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hogan wants to get back to full guard but Silva has mounted him! Hogan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hogan slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hogan is looking to get back to full guard here but Silva has managed to pass to side control instead. Hogan prevents Silva from moving into mount. Hogan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is looking to get back to full guard here but Hogan has managed to pass to side control instead. Silva is trying to get back to half guard. Hogan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Silva will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Silva is trying to control Hogan's posture but Hogan avoids it. Hogan has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into Hogan's guard. Silva looks winded! Hogan controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hogan is on top in guard.
Hogan gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hogan did well to prevent Silva getting side control. Silva throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hogan works his way to full guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mateus Silva dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hogan fails to land the takedown. Silva tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Silva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hogan to the ground. Silva is now in Hogan's guard. Hogan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there. Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hogan is proving hard to escape from. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva throws a strike but Hogan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Silva has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from. Hogan stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Hogan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hogan is in Silva's guard. Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hogan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Silva is wriggling around but Hogan manages to pass to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva is looking to improve his position.
Silva is still trying to improve position. Silva wants to get back to his feet.
Silva tries to roll over but Hogan keeps him under control. Mateus Silva has got the better of the ground game so far. Hogan tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Silva.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to get back to full guard but Hogan has passed into side control. Hogan decides to take the fight back to the feet. Hogan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hogan somewhat. Hogan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hogan circles away quickly and effectively. Hogan tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Silva manages to circle out of the way.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva misses with a right hand and Hogan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Silva thinking. Hogan throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Silva. Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Hogan circles away.
Silva shoots in and bounces Hogan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Silva is breathing heavily. Hogan controlling the position. Hogan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Silva throws a big elbow that misses. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Silva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hogan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jim Hogan will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Silva wants to clinch up but Hogan keeps it at a distance. Silva drives through with a takedown into guard. Silva won't allow Hogan to sweep him here. Hogan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hogan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hogan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Hogan's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hogan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogan is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him. Silva is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hogan dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silva wants to improve his position but Hogan is controlling well.
Silva tries to kick Hogan off but Hogan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hogan is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position. Silva wants to improve his position but Hogan is controlling well.
Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hogan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Silva scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hogan manages to mount him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogan controlling from the full mount. Hogan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with. Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Silva is trying desperately to improve position. Silva keeps trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hogan avoids the attempt from Silva to control. Hogan controlling from mount. Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Hogan showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hogan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
