Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Lobtov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado has chosen Que safoda as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Luis Machado will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luis Machado! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lobtov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Machado quickly recovers to half guard. Lobtov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Machado is looking to improve his position.
Lobtov is looking for a kimura but Machado is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lobtov to get the leverage. Machado is defending against the submission attempts here by Lobtov.
Lobtov wants to work for an arm triangle but Machado is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lobtov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Machado is just riding it out for now. Lobtov eventually gives up the hold. Lobtov is working for a kimura but Machado is defending it quite comfortably.

Lobtov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Machado is surviving well by controlling Lobtov's body position as best he can. Machado keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Lobtov has control of Machado's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Machado regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lobtov looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machado stops Lobtov from passing to mount. Lobtov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Machado keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lobtov works to advance to full mount. Machado defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Lobtov avoids the attempt from Machado to control. Lobtov won't let Machado get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Machado tries to hold on but Lobtov postures up. Lobtov looking for a guillotine from mount but Machado is having none of it. Lobtov tries to control but Machado wriggling away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Machado tries to buck Lobtov off but he can't manage it. Lobtov wants to control but Machado has made it back to half guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lobtov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Machado was well out of range. Poor timing from Lobtov. Machado moves in looking to clinch but Lobtov pushes him off. Lobtov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Machado throws Lobtov to one side and escapes! Machado slips a straight right by Lobtov. Machado darts in looking for a takedown but Lobtov gets double underhooks and turns Machado into the cage. Lobtov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Machado.
Lobtov circles away from the clinch attempt and Lobtov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Machado's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lobtov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Machado is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lobtov defends well. Lobtov trying to control the position from guard on top but Machado is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lobtov is really struggling to control Machado but he's trying to hold on to the position. Lobtov pushing down on Machado's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Lobtov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lobtov trying to control from half guard but Machado is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lobtov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Machado has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lobtov is on him like a limpet, forcing Machado back against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lobtov is trying to drag Machado to the mat but Machado just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Machado has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lobtov uses from the top position. Machado keeping full guard, as Lobtov tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machado had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lobtov defends it easily. Machado trying to keep a closed guard but Lobtov is proving a slippery customer.
Lobtov wants to pass the guard but Machado is keeping the position. Machado can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lobtov controls the pace. Lobtov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lobtov is pushing down on Machado's leg trying to pass to half guard. Machado is fighting to maintain full guard but Lobtov has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lobtov wants to work for an arm triangle but Machado is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Machado tries to kick Lobtov off in order to stand up. Lobtov Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Luis Machado has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andrey Lobtov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Machado manages to get back to half guard. Lobtov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Machado is looking to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Luis Machado. I think Lobtov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
