The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fighters circle momentarily. Smith darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sims.
It seemed like Smith was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Smith throws a series of punches but Sims moves out of range.

Smith has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sims is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smith, as that shot connected.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sims is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Sims lands a really nice looking cross but Smith seems unphased.

Smith scores with a sloppy right hand. Sims should have avoided that one.
Sims lands a left and a right that send Smith crashing to the mat, dazed. Sims thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Smith is rocked!

Sims lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Smith out cold! Smith is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
