Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Conor Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor Wayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Nogueira!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nogueira closes the distance and pushes Wayne back into the cage.
Nogueira content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Nogueira has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wayne uses from the top position.

No joy there for Nogueira, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wayne went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Nogueira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wayne on his heels. He'll look to pass Wayne's guard now, I'm sure.

Nogueira is trying to trip Wayne. He has hold of a leg but Wayne is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nogueira persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Wayne has his foot on Nogueira's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nogueira works his way back into a safe position though.

Wayne has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nogueira can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vitor Nogueira dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Nogueira fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wayne sprawls well initially but Nogueira persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Nogueira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wayne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nogueira in particular looking to stall.

Wayne is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nogueira pulls his head out easily.

Nogueira tries to throw a body punch but Wayne avoids it by throwing Nogueira back against the cage.

Nogueira's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Nogueira shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nogueira showed some decent athleticism there.
Nogueira takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Nogueira looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Wayne wants to get back to full guard but Nogueira has mounted him!

Nogueira throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wayne was covering up waiting for the punch and Nogueira finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nogueira has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Nogueira stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Vitor Nogueira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!



Wayne gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nogueira connects with a nice short shot to Wayne's temple.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well Nogueira has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
