Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Liddell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leon Pierre! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierre wants to clinch up but Liddell keeps it at a distance. Liddell shoots in and drives through. Pierre sprawls well. Pierre darts in and clinches Liddell up against the cage. Liddell gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pierre.
Liddell breaks from the clinch.
Liddell shoots in looking for a takedown. Pierre tries to sprawl out of it but Liddell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pierre manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pierre closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pierre lands in his opponent's guard. Liddell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Liddell is looking to stand back up but Pierre counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Liddell. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pierre escapes and gets back to his feet. Pierre circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Liddell as Pierre shoots in. Horrible takedown by Pierre or perhaps it was just good defense by Liddell which made him look bad. Jean Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Pierre.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell closes the distance and clinches. Pierre wants to break free but Liddell has control.
Liddell turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Liddell manages to end up in side control. Pierre struggling a bit here. Liddell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Liddell is breathing heavily. Liddell working away. Pierre might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Liddell kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Pierre manages to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Pierre keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pierre wants to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pierre clinches up with Liddell and pushes him back against the cage. Pierre drops down looking for an ankle pick but Liddell pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Liddell looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pierre shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Pierre is tying to control. Liddell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pierre passes the guard and advances to mount! Pierre controlling from mount. A nice elbow there by Pierre. Pierre looking to control but Liddell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Liddell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liddell tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pierre working for a submission but Liddell is keeping him at bay. Pierre is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Liddell is surviving well by controlling Pierre's body position as best he can. Pierre stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Liddell tries to clinch but Pierre moves out of range. Pierre swats away the attempt to clinch by Liddell. Pierre tries to close the distance and clinch up but Liddell swats him away and circles back towards the center. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leon Pierre dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Pierre pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Liddell gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pierre tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Liddell just stands there and leans against the cage. Pierre goes for a takedown in the clinch but Liddell prevents it.

Liddell moves in looking to clinch but Pierre pushes him off. Leon Pierre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pierre is looking to chop away at Liddell's legs. Pierre closes this distance looking for a takedown but Liddell circles away. Jean Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Pierre. Liddell shoots for a double leg takedown but Pierre sprawls well. He's pushed Liddell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Liddell lands a head kick!
Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pierre swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pierre fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Liddell closes the distance and clinches. Liddell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell is looking to clinch. Pierre throws a right hand that Liddell ducks under and follows up with a left that Liddell also avoids with ease. Pierre avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pierre misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pierre paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pierre scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Pierre tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Liddell tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell looks to move to half guard but instead Pierre has passed into mount! Damn! Pierre is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Liddell is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Liddell flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Pierre anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Liddell and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Pierre slips an arm under Liddell chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Pierre has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Pierre is squeezing on Liddell like an anaconda would it's prey. Liddell fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Leon Pierre!
