Bowman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dropkick Murphys - Warriors Code. Trent Punchy is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bowman throws a head kick but Punchy moves out of range.
Punchy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Bowman explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bowman has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Punchy lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Casey Bowman has been cut.
A right-left combo lands from Bowman.
Punchy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Punchy is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Bowman is hurt! He's hurt bad - Punchy fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Bowman from any more punishment! Congratulations to Punchy! Great finish!
