Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronny Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ronny Hewitt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob David!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David is looking to clinch.

David clinches.
Hewitt is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables David to keep the fight standing.
Still in the clinch, David scores with a nice short uppercut.
Hewitt fails to pull guard.
David stalling.
Hewitt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
David lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Hewitt pulls David into guard.
David trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hewitt's guard.
David throws a big elbow that misses.
David won't allow Hewitt to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
David in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hewitt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

David drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hewitt manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now David has Hewitt in his guard.

Hewitt makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
David wants to sweep but no luck.
Hewitt wants to stand but David has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hewitt distracts David with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hewitt is looking to stand up but David won't let him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hewitt drops back, looking for a kneebar! David looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. David looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from David!

Hewitt is not content to let David control the position.
Hewitt is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
David throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
David throws an elbow but Hewitt slips to the side and avoids it well.

Hewitt gets back to half guard.

Hewitt manages to escape and get back to his feet!
David is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hewitt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

David closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hewitt to the mat! Hewitt manages to get full guard.
David stops Hewitt from standing up.

David gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

David scores with a takedown into Hewitt's guard.
David postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

David gets to his feet. Hewitt looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

David gets a clinch.

David manages to break the clinch.
David wants to clinch.
David tries to clinch up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hewitt cracks David with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

David scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
David wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hewitt keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob David dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



David fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hewitt to the ground. David is now in Hewitt's guard.
Hewitt wants to stand up but David is controlling him.

Hewitt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

David gets to his feet. Hewitt looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hewitt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst David is controlling him.

Hewitt is looking to stand up but David isn't so interested in that idea.

David stands up and waves to Hewitt to follow him.
David tries to clinch there but Hewitt circles away.

Hewitt gets tackled into the cage by David. David maintains the clinch.
David has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hewitt tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and David avoids it.

Hewitt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hewitt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

David stops Hewitt from standing up.
David postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
David wants to stand but Hewitt is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hewitt manages to escape and get back to his feet.

David clinches with his opponent.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
David tries to throw a body punch but Hewitt avoids it by throwing David back against the cage.
David lands on the inside with an uppercut.

David is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

David tries to stall but Hewitt uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Hewitt can't get the takedown.

David has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hewitt clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

David avoiding Hewitt 's attempts to control his hands.

David has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hewitt has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
David is breathing heavily.
David misses with a punch to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob David showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Hewitt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
David tries to close the distance and clinch but Hewitt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hewitt looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hewitt tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hewitt fails to pull the fight into his guard.
David stalling in the clinch.
Hewitt wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but David has him pressed against the cage.

David pulls guard effortlessly.
David is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hewitt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of David is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

David drives through with a takedown into guard.
David takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
David wants to control from the top but Hewitt keeps moving.
David with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hewitt is looking to stand up but David isn't so interested in that idea.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hewitt is on top in guard.

David wants to sweep but no luck.

Hewitt is looking to work some ground and pound but David has wrist control.
Hewitt wants to stand but David is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hewitt trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
David tries to clinch but Hewitt is having none of it.

David drives through with a takedown into Hewitt's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hewitt is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
David lands a body shot.
Hewitt is trying to pull guard but David turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronny Hewitt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
David lands an uppercut.
Ronny Hewitt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bob David is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
David is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hewitt is defending well for now.

I would just about give that final round to Bob David.
I've got David winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
