The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez dives in for a single leg takedown but Aldo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A punch lands to the side of Gonzalez 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Aldo has managed to clinch.
Aldo tightens his grip and picks Gonzalez up, before dumping him to the ground. Gonzalez manages to land in guard.
Gonzalez trying to keep a closed guard but Aldo is proving a slippery customer.
Aldo wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Gonzalez's closed guard. He's half up but Gonzalez has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Gonzalez pivots and extends the arm, Aldo falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Gonzalez! Well done that man!

Nate Gonzalez spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
