Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stephen Warner!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bartlett seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Warner has taken the fight to the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Warner throwing strikes here but Bartlett is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bartlett jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Warner walks away with a smile on his face. Bartlett gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Warner fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bartlett has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Warner shoots in for a takedown but Bartlett shows good takedown defense.
Bartlett takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Stephen Warner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warner throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bartlett.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bartlett can't break the clinch.
Bartlett is trying to pull guard but Warner turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Stephen Warner seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Warner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Warner has managed to clinch.
Bartlett tries to pull guard but Warner forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Warner pulls guard effortlessly.

Bartlett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Warner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bartlett has managed to get both his arms back between Warner's legs - danger averted.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephen Warner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bartlett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Crunch! Warner slams his shin into Bartlett's torso.
Warner throws a one two combo.
Warner slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Warner cracks Bartlett with a right hand to the side of the head.

Warner shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bartlett eats them both and turns towards Warner to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Warner clinches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bartlett can't get the takedown.
Bartlett is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Bartlett tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Warner just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bartlett has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Warner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Warner unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bartlett lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Warner manages to break the clinch.

Warner lands with a nice combination. Bartlett backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Kennith Bartlett has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Warner unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Bartlett! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Warner is unloading with more strikes now! Bartlett drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephen Warner!
