Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matan Yeger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Chora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matan Yeger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Chora!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yeger gets caught flat footed, as Chora shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Chora wants to pass the guard but Yeger is keeping the position.
Chora sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Let's hope that Chora has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Chora forces his way into half guard.
Chora working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Yeger's thigh. Yeger counters though and makes it back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chora is pushing down on Yeger's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yeger is fighting to maintain full guard but Chora has managed to sneak the leg through.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chora drops back, looking for a kneebar! Yeger looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Yeger looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Yeger!

Yeger wants to stand but Chora has his arm trapped.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chora holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Chora tries to improve position but can't.
Chora is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Yeger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chora on the ground.
Chora regains half guard.
Chora tries to get to full guard but Yeger has control of the leg.
Yeger tries to stand and escape but Chora is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Yeger throws a sloppy head kick and Chora moves out of range easily.
Yeger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chora moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Yeger looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Chora shoots in for a takedown but Yeger shows good takedown defense.
Chora avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Yeger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chora scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Chora is tying to control. Yeger wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well, if Chora is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Chora tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yeger knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Chora is looking to take a break and control but Yeger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chora is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yeger is just riding it out for now. Chora eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Yeger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Chora closes the distance and clinches up with Yeger, looking for a takedown. Chora pushes Yeger against the cage but Yeger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Yeger looks to land a combination. Chora sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Yeger fails to land with a series of punches.
Yeger tries a head kick but it misses.
Chora dodges the punch combination from Yeger.
Chora shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yeger as he jumps to the side.
Chora shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yeger pinned against the cage. Yeger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Matan Yeger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Chora.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Yeger throws out a loose jab but Chora uses good head movement to avoid it.
Yeger looks to land a combination but Chora avoids it well.

No joy there for Yeger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yeger throws a series of punches but Chora avoids them all with ease.

Yeger pushes Chora away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chora gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Chora stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Yeger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chora feints and as Yeger raises his hands in defense, Chora changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chora stays in close to Yeger's body and controls the position.

Chora decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pedro Chora showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Chora throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yeger's waist but Yeger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chora off to one side.

Chora changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yeger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Yeger is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chora asserts his dominance and retains side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Chora has an Americana. Yeger didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Chora is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Chora hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
