The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Jitz tries to sprawl but Vaughan drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Vaughan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jitz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vaughan.
Jitz manages to get to full guard.
Vaughan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vaughan is sitting in close to Jitz's body. Jitz has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Vaughan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Vaughan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jitz.
