Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vince Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vince Savage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Diaz! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage tries for a takedown but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into Savage's guard. Savage tries to land a sweep but no joy. Savage being controlled here, momentarily. Diaz throws a big elbow that misses. Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savage looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Savage swivels though and keeps the full guard. Savage wants to sweep but no luck. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz wants to control from the top but Savage keeps moving. Diaz throwing strikes but missing.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Savage paws at him with a jab and circles away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Savage. Diaz wants to counter the offense by Savage and move into the clinch position. Diaz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vince Savage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diaz closes the distance and pushes Savage back into the cage. Diaz blocks a body shot from Savage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Savage. Savage pushes off an throws an elbow but Diaz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Knees in the clinch landing for Savage.
Savage misses with the head strike.
Savage tries to throw a body punch but Diaz avoids it by throwing Savage back against the cage. Diaz jumps guard and drags Savage to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Diaz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Diaz is controlling Savage's posture. Savage could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Savage avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Diaz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz prevents Savage from improving his position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Diaz slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Savage wants to improve his position but Diaz is controlling well.
Diaz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Diaz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Diaz dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Diaz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Diaz throwing strikes from guard but Savage blocks nicely. Diaz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Savage lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Savage wants to get up but he can't break Diaz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz is working an open guard so Savage takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Savage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diaz circles away. Diaz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Savage looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Savage tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz working Savage over with strikes here. Diaz controlling his opponent. Diaz throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Diaz controlling the pace for now. Nick Diaz has got the better of the ground game so far. Savage defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Diaz. Diaz thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savage manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes. Diaz slows the pace down in half guard. Diaz trying to pass the guard but Savage defending well. Diaz escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Savage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diaz misses with a double jab
and Savage counters with a takedown into side control. Diaz sneaks back into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Diaz is controlling Savage's position as best he can from this difficult position. Diaz is pressing down on Savage's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Savage has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Savage stands up and waves to Diaz to follow him. Savage tries to sprawl but Diaz drives through with a takedown into half guard. Savage kicks Diaz off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vince Savage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Savage is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Diaz is defending well for now. Diaz pulls guard. Savage drops back looking for a leg! Diaz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diaz manages to kick Savage off! Savage jumps back into Diaz's guard. Diaz is trying to control the position but Savage postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Nick Diaz will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Diaz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Savage is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Diaz's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Diaz is keen to just control but Savage is a slippery customer. Savage is trying to maintain the position but Diaz is very close to passing his half guard. Savage gets full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Savage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Savage manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Diaz has Savage in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savage drops back, looking for a kneebar! Diaz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Diaz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Diaz!
Diaz decides to take the fight back to the feet. Diaz misses with a kick to the body.
Savage is looking to counter the offense by Diaz and move into the clinch. Diaz tries to clinch but Savage is having none of it. As Diaz looks to move away, Savage throws a big counter combo but Diaz just gets out of the way. Diaz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Diaz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savage is trying to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Savage is working hard here to advance position. Diaz staying calm. Diaz working the ground and pound but Savage is defending the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savage defending against the ground and pound. Diaz in side control, throwing shots but Savage defends. Diaz working the strikes but Savage uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Diaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Diaz seems to be working for a kimura but Savage defends the submission attempt. Diaz controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Diaz stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Savage to get to his feet. Savage gets caught napping as Diaz dives in and scores a takedown. Savage manages to retain guard. Diaz postures up in Savage's guard and throws a big left but Savage blocks it. Diaz wants to pass the guard but Savage is keeping the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Savage working a defensive guard but Diaz manages to pass into side control anyway.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Diaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Diaz winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Nick Diaz! A determined Nick Diaz didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
