Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Layne Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Layne Shepherd! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shepherd counters with a crisp one two that drops Lee! Shepherd thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lee to his feet! Lee is in big trouble! Lee looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Shepherd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lee swivels and escapes. Shepherd dives in for a single leg takedown but Lee sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Shepherd pushes Lee up against the cage in a clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Shepherd tries to circle away but Lee has him pinned against the cage. Lee keeps control of Shepherd as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Shepherd is looking to take this one to the mat. Charles Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Layne Shepherd. Shepherd decides to pull guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shepherd thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Shepherd is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shepherd has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lee has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Lee keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shepherd's efforts to push away. Shepherd has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Shepherd drags the fight down to the ground.
Shepherd is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Shepherd is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Shepherd winds up and cracks Lee with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shepherd connects with a nice short shot to Lee's temple. Shepherd keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Shepherd has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lee won't allow Shepherd to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shepherd perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Shepherd is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Shepherd wants to control the pace but Lee is squirming around nicely. Shepherd might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lee haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Shepherd controlling from the full mount. Shepherd is working for a guillotine from mount but Lee frees his head quite easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shepherd takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shepherd on the ground. Shepherd trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shepherd controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shepherd with good strikes from the mount here! Layne Shepherd dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lee stuffs the takedown attempt from Shepherd. Shepherd gets slowly back to his feet. It looked like Lee was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Lee misses with a body kick. Shepherd unleashes a big counter combination but Lee bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.

Charles Lee dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Lee is fighting to break Shepherd's control of his arms but Shepherd is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Shepherd is pulling down on Lee's head. It's preventing any offense from Lee, at least for the moment. Shepherd looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Shepherd looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lee shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Shepherd eats them both and turns towards Lee to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Charles Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shepherd tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
