The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Der Berg doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Costa slaps away a takedown attempt from Van Der Berg, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Costa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Costa lands a head shot.
Van Der Berg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Van Der Berg clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left hand lands to the body for Costa.
Costa manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Van Der Berg looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Costa looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Costa throws a head kick that Van Der Berg semi-blocks.

It looks like Tyrone Van Der Berg has been cut.
Costa feints a jab and as Van Der Berg dips his head, Costa unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Van Der Berg right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Van Der Berg falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Costa smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
