Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emile Henry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcin Hold! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hold is looking to clinch. Henry closes the distance and lands a one-two. Henry changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hold looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Henry working away. Hold is looking for a sweep. Henry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hold keeps working. Hold tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hold sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Hold looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hold is refusing to be controlled, as Henry sits in half guard. Hold is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Hold manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hold is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hold is trying to keep Henry in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Henry postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Henry trying to control but Hold is working from the bottom. Hold working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Henry scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Henry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hold has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Henry has managed to get both his arms back between Hold's legs - danger averted. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Henry trying to control but Hold is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henry is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hold working for submissions but it's allowed Henry to get to half guard.
Henry working over Hold with some ground and pound. Hold looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Hold looking for subs from the bottom but Henry mounts him! Hold tries to reverse the position but Henry maintains control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hold is squirming around, avoiding Henry's attempts to control the action. Hold is trying desperately to improve position. Hold is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hold keeps trying to improve his position. BOOM! Henry connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Hold can't escape the position.
Henry sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hold is looking to improve his position but Henry isn't that keen on the idea. Hold slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hold is defending against the submission attempts here by Henry.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hold wants to get back to full guard. Henry wants to control but Hold is keeping him busy. Hold looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Henry trying to pass the guard but Hold defending well. Hold trying to get back to full guard but Henry takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Hold is trying to escape the mount.

Emile Henry dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Henry slaps away a takedown attempt from Hold, before circling back to the center of the mat. Henry swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. A punch combination from Henry misses. Henry misses with a head kick.
Henry sets himself, and Hold steps forward looking for the clinch! Henry avoids it this time. Henry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Henry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Henry wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hold, who protects the arm well. Hold tries to improve position but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hold sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Hold manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hold pushes a forearm under Henry's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Henry is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
