Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vito Mazzini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liam Christopher!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazzini missing with a left hand there. Christopher was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Christopher on the wrong end of a nice hook.


It looks like Liam Christopher has been cut.
Mazzini scores with a crisp jab that stopped Christopher in his tracks.
Mazzini throws a big shot that misses.
Vito Mazzini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christopher ducks under a wild hook from Mazzini.

Mazzini drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mazzini tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Mazzini is staying tight to Christopher's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Mazzini tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mazzini has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mazzini is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christopher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mazzini has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Christopher!

Mazzini has control of Christopher's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Christopher regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Mazzini is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Christopher can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mazzini goes for an armbar but Christopher turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Christopher.

Christopher is sitting in close to Mazzini's body. Mazzini has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Christopher is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Christopher is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Mazzini.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Vito Mazzini!
After winning the bout, Vito Mazzini thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
