Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rip McGinnis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Dorisse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rip McGinnis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Dorisse!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorisse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McGinnis manages to avoid it.

Dorisse pushes McGinnis up against the cage in a clinch.
McGinnis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dorisse blocks it with crossed arms.

McGinnis jumps guard and drags Dorisse to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Dorisse drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dorisse jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Dorisse trying to control the position from guard on top but McGinnis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McGinnis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dorisse gets to his feet. McGinnis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Dorisse throws a sloppy head kick
and McGinnis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

McGinnis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Dorisse is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McGinnis defends well.

McGinnis scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McGinnis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

McGinnis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dorisse.

McGinnis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dorisse on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McGinnis is breathing heavily.
Dorisse throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
McGinnis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dorisse has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, McGinnis works to full guard.

Dorisse shoots in and drives through. McGinnis sprawls well.

McGinnis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dorisse explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

McGinnis has Dorisse up against the cage in a clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee is keeping an eye on McGinnis - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dorisse is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McGinnis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Rip McGinnis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Dorisse.

Dorisse gets control of McGinnis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dorisse will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Dorisse escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGinnis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dorisse decides to stand back up. Dorisse steps back and let's McGinnis get back to his feet.

Dorisse has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. McGinnis has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

McGinnis has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dorisse is trying to keep an underhook but McGinnis manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Dorisse works his way to full guard. Good work.

McGinnis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McGinnis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
McGinnis won't allow Dorisse to get back to his feet.

Dorisse has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McGinnis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A close second round but Alex Dorisse will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Dorisse thows a huge punch but McGinnis dodges it nicely.
Dorisse seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGinnis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dorisse is nestled in close to McGinnis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dorisse is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McGinnis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dorisse.

Dorisse is keen to just control but McGinnis is a slippery customer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for McGinnis.

McGinnis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dorisse to the ground. McGinnis is now in Dorisse's guard.

Dorisse had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McGinnis defends it easily.

McGinnis is posturing up here but Dorisse has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! McGinnis tries to roll out but it's too tight and McGinnis has to tap! Slick submission there by Dorisse!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alex Dorisse!
After the fight, Alex Dorisse was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
