Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shirley Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Ochoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shirley Higgins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mario Ochoa! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ochoa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Higgins is trying to stand back up but Ochoa is controlling him
Ochoa is looking to advance position but Higgins won't allow it. Ochoa working over Higgins with some ground and pound. Higgins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Higgins regains full guard. Nicely done. Higgins keeping full guard, as Ochoa tries to pass. Ochoa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Higgins lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ochoa looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ochoa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ochoa throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Higgins trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ochoa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Ochoa is looking to cinch up a triangle. Higgins throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ochoa's body to avoid the submission. Ochoa has instead reached around Higgins's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ochoa arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Mario Ochoa!
