Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Para Lyzes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Para Lyzes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Daniels! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lyzes has closed the distance and engaged Daniels in a clinch.
Lyzes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. A frustrated look appears on Daniels's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lyzes taking a breather. Lyzes has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Daniels regains guard immediately. Lyzes trying to control the position from guard on top but Daniels is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lyzes showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Lyzes wants to control from the top but Daniels keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lyzes tries to free his leg and advance position but Daniels is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels keeping moving, preventing Lyzes from controlling successfully. Lyzes is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lyzes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Daniels is keeping the position for now. Lyzes postures up in Daniels's guard and throws a big left but Daniels blocks it. Lyzes passes Daniels's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lyzes is looking to take a break and control but Daniels is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lyzes is looking to advance position but Daniels won't allow it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daniels can do anything to dispel that myth. Lyzes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lyzes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daniels does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Daniels looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels pushes Lyzes off looking to stand but Lyzes dives back in and keeps control.
Lyzes trying to control the action but Daniels is working from the bottom. Lyzes tries to pass to full mount but Daniels defends it. Lyzes throwing shots but Daniels is blocking nicely. Lyzes is working for a submission of some sort.
Daniels blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lyzes. Daniels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lyzes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lyzes is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lyzes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lyzes wants to pass the guard but Daniels is defending well. Daniels looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lyzes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Still in half guard, Lyzes seems content to control. Lyzes is keen to just control but Daniels is a slippery customer. Daniels makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Lyzes throws a one two combo.
Daniels takes the fight into the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Daniels is trying to break the clinch but Lyzes is controlling him. Lyzes is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Para Lyzes dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lyzes wants to clinch and Daniels counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Lyzes dives in and grabs Daniels's left leg, looking for a takedown. Daniels pushes down on Lyzes's head and hops out. Daniels clinches. Lyzes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Daniels has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Lyzes misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Daniels.
A frustrated look appears on Daniels's face as he tries to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniels cracks Lyzes with a nice body shot. Lyzes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Daniels avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lyzes prevents Daniels from breaking the clinch. Lyzes tries a knee to the head but Daniels blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Daniels breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fighters circle momentarily. Daniels darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Lyzes checks a leg kick. Daniels throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lyzes tries to move into range but Daniels moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Daniels moves into the clinch. Lyzes content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Daniels lands with a short punch from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lyzes tries to land a knee to the head but Daniels blocks with his arms.
Daniels breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That kick from Daniels tenderised Lyzes's leg. Lyzes is trying to keep his angry face on. Lyzes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daniels sprawls well. Daniels wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lyzes gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Para Lyzes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lyzes throws out a leg kick but Daniels moves out of range and Lyzes only half commits. A little jabbing left from Daniels on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lyzes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Daniels. The fight stays on the outside here - Lyzes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Daniels has taken the fight to the clinch.
Daniels tries to break free but Lyzes pushes him back against the cage. Daniels being controlled against the cage. Lyzes misses with an elbow over the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lyzes wants a takedown but no success here.
Lyzes looks to throw an elbow but misses. Lyzes throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Daniels blocks it with crossed arms. Daniels is looking to break free of the clinch but Lyzes has double underhooks. Daniels presses Lyzes against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Daniels breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lyzes avoids the body shot from Daniels.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Daniels. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lyzes shoots in but no luck this time. Daniels fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Daniels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lyzes wants to clinch. Lyzes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. James Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lyzes is out of range. Lyzes looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Lyzes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Daniels lands a head shot. Daniels clinches with his opponent.
Daniels wants to get back to striking at distance but Lyzes won't allow it.
Daniels breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Daniels uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Lyzes fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lyzes gets tackled into the cage by Daniels. Daniels maintains the clinch.

James Daniels seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Lyzes is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Lyzes for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Daniels pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lyzes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Daniels manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lyzes moves out of range of the body kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Daniels closes the distance and pushes Lyzes back into the cage. Lyzes wants a takedown but no success here.
And that's the end of the fight! James Daniels comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Daniels has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
