Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Dawson.
Springfield looks to land a body kick but Dawson moved away.
Dawson avoids a kick to the body.

and Springfield counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dawson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dawson tries to get out of the position.
Springfield prevents Dawson from getting back to his feet.
Springfield wants to control from the top but Dawson keeps moving.
Dawson can't keep his opponent in guard - Springfield advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dawson is trying to stand.
Dawson wants to stand back up but Springfield manages to pass into side control.
Dawson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Springfield is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dawson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dawson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Springfield is controlling him well.

Springfield wants to control but Dawson is keeping him busy.
Springfield is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Dawson is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Springfield sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Dawson has no choice but to tap and Springfield jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
