The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

And Runkputte counters with a quick kick to the body but Shin blocks it.
Shin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Runkputte throws a body shot but no joy.
Runkputte swings for the body but Shin moves out of range.
Runkputte looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Shin will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Shin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Shin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Runkputte has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Runkputte cracks Shin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Runkputte throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shin.
Shin throws out a counter right but Runkputte avoids it with no problem.
Shin delivers a nice body kick.
Runkputte is breathing heavily.

Runkputte throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Shin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Runkputte's calf.

and Shin counters with a good low kick that Runkputte was not able to check.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lao Shin will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Shin lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Runkputte falls backwards - clearly groggy! Shin dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
