Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Venables can pounce on him.
Venables attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Both fighters circling a little - Venables finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Venables bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Venables.
Venables fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Murray tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Venables defends well and Murray ends up having to push Venables into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

so Murray counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Venables working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Murray doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Murray manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Venables feints and then cracks Murray's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Murray down.
Venables throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Murray drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Murray's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Venables is holding on here and Murray must be using up a lot of energy. Venables has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Murray gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
